Not my favorite of the three 'Level 26' books. Felt a little bit rushed, especially by whoever proofread or edited it (one (minor) character's name was spelled differently on one open spread!). I still enjoy the Steve Dark character, though...so not all was lost. The new bad guy, Labyrinth, was interesting, and I enjoyed that his riddles got increasingly difficult to figure out, mimicking the escalation of his plans to change the world.

Overall, though, I think what disappointed me the most was that there were far too few cyber-bridges. The first book had 20, the second had 11, and this one had only 8. I understand that they're not cheap to make, so it makes sense that they've decreased the number of them in each subsequent book. But with this particular story, I felt that not only were 8 videos too few, but they were also lacking in overall entertainment and intrigue. That's probably because most of the cast fans of this series were accustomed to were not in the clips for 'Dark Revelations'. Hell, if I'm not mistaken, the main character of these books, Steve Dark, doesn't show up till the final clip! But, again, I get that actors have busy schedules, especially Daniel Buran who plays Dark (he's been on 'True Blood' and a few episodes of the current season of 'Dexter'), I just kind of wish they could have taken more time to flesh out not only the cyber-bridges, but the story and the book itself.

I can't believe I'm putting myself through book three – book one was bad and book two was worse (how was that possible?), but I still want to know how it gets resolved...

****

So, that's done. I'm a little surprised it was the best book in the series, if only because it contains the fewest errors. The plot's still outlandishly ridiculous, the writing's still overdone (subtlety and nuance are conspicuous in their absence) and the characters are still one dimensional, but by golly the story rips along. Will our heroes solve the puzzles before time runs out? Of course not! Will it take until the evil-doer's pièce de résistance to find and stop him? Of course! Will you have worked out whodunnit well before then? Almost certainly. Will you care? Nah. This ain't Booker-prize-winning material – just go along for the ride.

Oh, I didn't watch any of the cyber-bridges except the last one. They didn't add anything to the first book, so I didn't bother with books 2 and 3. You may feel differently about them.

Well, that was a...rollercoaster. Fast pace. Intrigues crazier than the books before. Characters that I love. And a giant scoop of madness.

There are literally no words to describe how much I loved and loathed this book. From the evil criminal who haunted me through the nights, from all of the clues/hints that were droped and made no sense to my virginal mind but which appeared to me later as nuclear bomb...and above all from the ending which didn't quiet apeased me. I was so tensed as if I was reading a testimony of the real world and that there would be a following.

If you came this far in the series, read this. This last book is better, if that's possible.
