This book was such a good end to the duology, the ending was very satisfying although I’m sad we only got two books in this series. I’m going to miss the characters and this world. The plot was so action packed and I thought it carried on well from the first book. I was gripped on this story and there was the perfect amount of events that happened in the book.
This book focused on Nerissa, who is Keira’s sister from the first book, and Silas, who was Sebastian’s ex-best friend from the first book. The pair have an interesting relationship, especially at the beginning of the book but I could definitely feel the romance between them. I enjoyed how it developed throughout the book and it got very steamy towards the end. Although this is romance based, it still has the fantasy element to it which is good!
This was such an easy book to read, especially after getting to know the world from the first book. I felt we got more time with these characters as there was less world building descriptions, although we still got to explore new places. We did get to read about the other characters from the first book as well, this was nice. As I mentioned before, the ending was satisfying and I felt it gave closure for all the characters.
I highly recommend this series and this author. It was so much fun reading this book and the romance was so good!
