Too much repetition. Sometimes the author repeated whole pages from a different POV. Also, this was the first book in the series and I was already over the fact that every powerful king wanted a human bride. And they asked for advice? When he barely managed to not lose his bride. Died laughing.

3.5 stars. This is much better than you’d think, and I was glad it wasn’t as bad as some of these I’ve read. It doesn’t have a ton of depth to it, but it’s also not just hot garbage either. The author didn’t even change the formula for the descriptions however, so I hold little hope that the rest of the series won’t be the same book I just finished reading.
