Perfection!
as a Philly girl, traveler, and a self proclaimed chef/foodie I’ve loved every thing about the story. It’s truly heartfelt, and I found myself laughing, giggling and ugly, crying along the way.

This was a rather enjoyable YA book about a high schooler who is a mother but dreams of being a chef.

I've never read a young adult book that centers so much on food and the culinary arts, and I liked it a lot.

I relate to this book a lot because I love to cook. I understand when she talks about her being in a zone while she cooks.

Really enjoyed listening to With the Fire on High. I also loved and appreciated how the author read her own book. Sometimes it felt like a friend was telling me this story and ended up getting really invested in the characters.

So beautiful again! The writing was so powerful and the protag Emoni was so easy to follow and love, I absolutely loved the ending and the themes introduced, and of course Emma was so cute! I just really admired Emoni's strength and talent, and on top of that the romance was so adorable! And the food she made all sounded delicious and I just loved this whole book, all the elements were just so well-balanced and well-written and I'm just definitely a fan.
