I’m not the type to read book series, but after this, I’m ready to find out what happens next! Easy read and spooky!

5 girls play what they believe is an innocent game of “light as a feather, stiff as a board” only for their friends to start dying exactly the way the story was told. The others try to find a way to break the curse in attempt to save their lives.

Yes, there are clichés, but I expected it. It is not scary-scary IMO. There is also a time (maybe even more) where you would be frustrated at how dumb the main character can be.
Spoiler I was very frustrated at her not figuring out that it was the pendant that had some sort of connection to Violet and the ghost realm
.

BUT

I didn't mind the romance. I expected it. I actually felt tension, even though I wasn't "scared" (to be fair this isn't a horror book). I felt tension because even though I know
Spoiler her friends were going to die,
I was kind of hoping not. So you could say I at least cared a little more than a bit for the characters.

The book is good for what it is. Don't expect to get spooked by it. Unless you scare that easily.

The book wasn't bad but wasn't as invested in the storyline as I had hoped, but I think I will continue on with the series whenever I get interested or bored enough. Not something Im eager to at the moment but might get better

Light As A Feather by Zoe Aarsen originally knowned as Light As A Feather, Stiff As A Board

I remember this book when I was first introduced to the world of wattpad. I was really curious about the content and imagining some diverseness genres it possessed. I was so obssessive with the thought of reading all of the ebooks out there, in that platform, truly oblivious when we estimated it was almost a millions of stories existed and yet to be discovered. It took 8-10 years I guess after finally grabbed a hand on this book in physical! I'm  overwhelmingly satisfied. I bought it on a pop store at our town last month of November with a mark down price. Truly happy and contented.

Okay, so the story was all about these self-proclaimed 'iconic' popular girls in highschool hanging out together like any other typical girls would do with their youth, being pretty, easygoing, wild and care-free. Mckenna, the girl from being fat-geeky teenager to a hot deadly gorgeous chick over summer transformation was finally caught Olivia's attention, the campus Queen and welcomed Mckenna with her popular circle of friends.

"her body lay in a closed coffin, light as a feather, stiff as a board."

I have a habit of digging through movies coming out, see what's tied to a book, and then read the book before I see the show/movie. In this case, I found that this book is going to become a show on HULU - Light as a Feather (I think). So I went digging and realized I'd downloaded it as a freebie back in 2013! Yay!

The story started just okay. It's slow at first, and McKenna and her need to become popular was annoying. She seemed shallow and needy. As the story progressed, we learn more of her personality and learn more so it gets interesting as Trey, Violet, Olivia, Candace and Mischa all start pushing each other to the conclusion at the end.

Not that there is a conclusion. It's definitely a cliffhanger leaving the ending open for book 2 and 3 that appear to be coming soon....

But all in all, it was just okay. I'm hoping the writing and conversations won't feel so unnatural or dated in the next one.
