I was so engaged the whole time reading this, everything piqued my curiosity and I was excited to learn what would happen next. I found the contrast in pacing between the two perspectives to be a bit jarring, but it came together beautifully.

Awesome book! Some parts were difficult to read, but overall I really enjoyed the writing and the premise. I can't imagine how it would feel to read this book as a First Nations person, however.

This is like a feminist version of Left Hand of Darkness, with a sprinkling of Dune. It was a bit slow at times, but very enjoyable. It was like all of my favorite genres mashed together. Griffith did a wonderful job of imagining a world without men on an alien planet, and I can't wait to read more by her.
