I really need to start reading more poems and short stories.
I've had this collection for the longest time and since reorganising my bookshelves in to 'Read' and 'To be Read', I've been trying to read my long neglected books. She's the One is an anthology of works by different authors who write about the women who have influenced their lives - including, mothers, grandmothers, historical figures, and activists. It's super short since most of the poems and short essays aren't much longer than a page, but there's a great selection of authors all of different ages and from different backgrounds.
I read this over a morning and it's the perfect quick read if you want to dip your toes in to some short fiction.
