I supported the kickstarter for this book, got the book and a ton of fun extras! This one is full of new comics featuring Sarah and Stef's life and their abundance of kitties. Well new, not all of them were new, but that is because I follow her Twitter. :P I loved that she did the night comics with a black border/on a black page, and the day comics on white. I had so much fun reading this one, and I was squeeing when I saw the proposal again. And of course squeeing during all the other cute moments these two have together. And laugh due to all the silliness and cats.
At the end of the book we have several redrawn comics, photographs of their journeys, and also how she makes the comics.
I can't wait for more Super Adventures and also other Sarah Graley works. <3

Re-read 2020: I was in the mood for something silly with cats and Our Super Adventure is just the perfect fit. I had tons of fun reading this one, laughing, loving the cats (how they look and what they do), love seeing Stef and Sarah together. The art style is cute but I also love that you can see how much Sarah has grown in her art style if you look at the newer books and comics. I like the little extras that were included in the book. All in all, if you are looking for a fun book to distract from everything, check out this (and other books by her) book.

----------------------

I have loved Our Super Adventure (and other stuff by Sarah Graley) for some time now, and when I saw she had a Kickstarter up for this book I just knew I had to back it up and give my support!

And now I have this book, with Kickstarter extras, and I just loved it. The book features comics you can find online on Sarah's site, but there are also several new ones that haven't been posted anywhere. The book also has a t-shirt collection (what shirts did they wear), a photograph of them and also of their cats (such adorable cats!), re-drawn comics and also what she uses to draw and how she does stuff. I also got 4 postcards and a sticker sheet (with CATS!). All in all, it is a big fun packed book, and now I can just pick up this book whenever I want, and when I am in need for a good laugh.

Because laugh you will, the comics are hilarious and Stef and Sarah are really cute together. It was really fun to see some older comics, but also some really new ones. Some I recognized from the site and I was happy to see them, but I was also delighted with the addition of new comics.

The art is really pretty, you can see (especially when looking at the re-drawn comics part) that Sarah really has gotten awesome with drawing. I love her style of drawing, and also the colours she uses. However I did notice that sometimes tattoos would switch arm (from left arm to right arm). :)
I really like how the cats are drawn, and if I look at the photographs she added (and the ones I saw online), she really got the right look for each cat. It is just great.

All in all? If you have a chance to get this book, get it. It is a fantastic and fun read about daily life, romance, relationships, lots of pizza and even more cats.

'Our Super Adventure Vol. 1: Press Start to Begin' by Sarah Graley is a collection of webcomics about living with another person and lots of cats.

Relationships have all kinds of possible, like too much pizza or too many cats. There are also too many farts (lots and lots of fart jokes abound). There are game nights and things to do when the internet is out. Also included is lots of snuggling.

I've read a few similar collections, but I liked this collection just a bit more. I definitely liked the art quite a bit.

I received a review copy of this graphic novel from Oni Press and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you for allowing me to review this graphic novel.

If you have a weird relationship, love cats or have many cat children, this is probably the best relatable read you will ever find.

What’s not to love, the two main characters are adorable and let’s not forget the four cats - Who can resist them!

I got an ARC of this book.

I have seen some of these comics before and I generally liked them. I have chuckled and moved on. There were times when I was really amused and even forwarded them on to others. Yet, reading this book just left me majorly disappointed

It appears that every single comic I liked the first dozen times I saw them were included in this book. That isn’t a bad thing. The bad thing was those were the only comics that I even mildly liked. This book was just constant poop and fart jokes. I have never enjoyed those jokes, even as a kid. I am just shocked at the sheer number of those jokes. There was no substance at all. There was just poop and fart. That was it.

There were a few comics that had the potential to be funny, but they were just so overshadowed by everything else that I couldn’t enjoy them. There were a few fart jokes about the cats that could have been funny, but there were just so many fart jokes that I was annoyed before they appeared. I don’t recommend this book to anyone, unless they have the humor of an eight year old boy (though the eight year old boys I know also wouldn’t have found this book funny).

The only art that stood out to me was the cats. They were consistently cute and I looked forward to seeing them for the most part.

2.5 stars? again...the couple is cute. too cute. with too many inside jokes that are funny to only them. Buuuuttttt, the cat jokes are relatable so there's that.
