A collection of short stories, some of them loosely connected. Not my favourite of the volumes, but had some interesting backstory for Dream and his family. I did enjoy the Orpheus in the Underworld chapters, and I wonder if they'll come up again in the future.

I had no idea Gaiman had written about the story of Orpheus, one of my favorite stories in the Sandman collection. Needless to say I savored every page of that story. Finally was introduced to the last member of the family and god is he fantastic, not to mention there's always just something comical about Cain always killing Abel but then stating things like, "I'll be over for dinner tomorrow" probably one of my favorite literature dichotomies. You always learn something new when you read Sandman and that's perhaps why I can't stop reading them.

Posebno izdvajam Ramadan i The Parliament of Rooks.

Solid, on par with the last few collections, but missing a standout moment for me. Still a good read, though. Number 7, coming up!
Another brilliant entry from one of the best series I have ever read. Old stories are made new, and wonderful new stories are spun, all as we walk through the dreaming and see the universality of story and truth and human need.
GREAT SANDMAN REREAD 2015
Another collection of stories for Morpheus to flit through. I absolutely loved the tale of Emperor Norton, but the disturbing "August" was the one that had stuck in my head since the first time I read it and stuck it will remain. "Ramadan" was also good, but the rest of the book didn't interest me as much as any of the other Sandman books.

Better than the previous volumes, with some excellent moments such as the parliament of rooks mystery. It's a shame that this is a moment in an otherwise dreary story. Ramadan also has inspired moments amongst the screeds of text.
The writing continued to be weirdly obsessed with murder! and rape! oooh. Such drama. I will plod on to the next volume...

Another collection of Sandman short stories which for me are not as good as the volume long stories. Lots of classical and historical references here from the story of Orpheius, the French Revolution and Marco Polo. Interesting for me as these are areas of my knowledge that are not very complete but a little difficult for me to know how much Gaiman has played with the original stories.
