Unos mejores que otros, pero superdisfrutables todos <3 el favorito fue el de Augusto, el primer emperador romano, muchos mensajes, enorme y triste plot twist. fan po.
none of the issues were necessarily bad, but they are all just random one shots that don't really serve any purpose. i mean, they're literally just several random issues anywhere from 30-something to 50 that they shoved into a single volume because i guess they didn't really know what else to do with them? definitely a let down after the last volume.
The retelling of the story of Orpheus alone gives this volume five stars. Wonderful to read, even now.
Just wow again. I am familiar with all the tales in this book to some degree. I mean, I know some of the sources from which Neil Gaiman started constructing these tales. But then there are other sources, special sources, that only Neil himself is privy to. I did not know those before, but now, he has shed light on his reflections. I say thank you.
(And when I went to update this entry, I realised to my horror that I read number 6 before number 5. There is a fascinating flow to this entire series. I feel like I have done something blasphemous. I hope I will not suffer.

This is a smorgasbord of one-off stories, most featuring real historical (and literary) figures of various stations in life. What they have in common are their hopes and dreams of better lives for themselves and others, so there's lots of moralizing (but mostly in a good way). As in much of this series, Dream mostly plays a small, but crucial, role in the stories. The array of artists is amazing, propelling this series into the realm of classics. Note that there is a bit of violence and nudity, so not for the easily offended.
