I wanted to like this book SO BADLY but it was very mid! Biggest complaints in the spoiler section because they're very hard to discuss without spoiling key plot elements! He spends like.....NO time as a werewolf?? Which is gravely disappointmenting. Also the serial rape and murder of sex workers subplot was TRULY so unhinged, not to mention the fact that the villian was poisoning his mother? There was just way too much going on and it didnt fit together well because we were just jumping from one wild ass scenario to the next! Not to mention the final resolution of the family curse which was SO unexpected and indescribable. I will say that I really enjoy a marriage of convenience trope and I do feel that aspect was well done. I'm torn about whether or not I'm going to try to read another in the series to see how it goes.
