Hearing of Galeano's death today reminded me that I received this beautiful volume of folk tales from one of my study abroad advisees nearly twenty years ago, and that I lent it to someone at least a decade ago. And never got it back. I don't recall to whom I entrusted it (though I remember the young woman who gifted it to me), but I hope they treasured these words and woodcuts as much as I. Must find another copy, to keep.
