Pigeon finds a hot dog, and is excited to eat it when he meets Duckling. Pigeon doesn't want to share, but Duckling is persistent and eventually they each get half of the hot dog.

I LOVE this book. it is hilarious. But I think it appeals more to adults than to kids.

Now, this sequel to Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus doesn't quite match its predecessor's brilliance, but it's still a delightful showdown between clever birds. When the pigeon finds a hot dog, he's eager to gulp it down, but a sly little duckling (that reminds us of another feathered someone) might put a dent in that plan. The end message might be that "sharing is good," but I found the pigeon's road to try and avoid sharing to be pretty delightful, too.

I feel like an awful librarian, because this is my first time reading the pigeon. The pigeon is a little silly, and doesn't feel like sharing at first. But, the pigeon ultimately decides that maybe hot dogs are best when enjoyed together.

I don't like this quite as much as some of the other pigeon books, but it's still pretty fabulous!
