I LOVED it! I ate it up and it does remind me so mich of Criminal Minds!! I loved the plot and I did not expect that person to be the killer like I was so shocked because I actually liked her! And I don't know who I want Cassie to end up with... I can't decide but this book was so addictive omg literally couldn't stop!

I FINISHED THIS BOOK IN 2 DAYS! I know this book is quite short it’s only 308 pages but I’m proud of myself as I hadn’t been able to read lately with assessments. Ok First of all I LOVE the idea that each child has like their own special talent or “power” like being a profiler, Emotion reader, human lie detector, human encyclopaedia I just love that idea SO MUCH. like when Lia tells Cassie her training  is listening to movie audios or watching the movie and she plays Spot the Lie ( she’s the human lie detector) ALSO THE ENDING
WITH AGENT LOCKE AS THE KILLER???!! My theories were SOOO OFF  AND LIKE LOCKE BEING CASSIE’S AUNT?! THAT TOTALLY CAUGHT ME OFF GUARD . MY THEORIES WERE THAT IT WAS CASSIE WITH A DUAL Personality💀 one with a killer for revenge of her mothers death and one as just regular old Cassie
Another thing I personally think that if each book was from each of the child perspective that it would give us more understanding to each character because you don’t learn much about Dean, Michael, Lia or Sloane. Ok so in my Reading notes I wrote on how this book was a soppy teen love sitcom with a mystery Sideplot maybeee i was wrong? This book is still very Romance heavy and I feel that I would have to be in a VERY SPECIFIC MOOD if I wanted to reread this book. Also right now I’m on team Michael even though I know very well that Cassie is gonna choose Dean but like …… COME ON! IT’S MICHAEL TOWNSEND! ( I’m sorry my guy but…… Townsend? As a last name? Seriously?😖) but what was with the random tension when Michael and Dean saw each other 🤨 Although I did like this book I felt that it was bit of a cliché like
the killer being an inside job
Like I feel like that it was pretty cliché for thriller books . Also the Romance was SOOO CRINGY at points that I physically had to put the book down and walk for a good 5 minutes and constantly tell myself you can get through the cringy parts or skip the page like in sorry but I’m probably never gonna be a romance reader.  One more thing you can read my theories and my thoughts before I finished the book on the journal entries 😊. Of course I’m gonna read the next book because I have access to it right now and this is a very hyped SERIES, ok so read it again? Depends on Mood. Did I overall like the book? Yes I did but was a bit cringy at points.

I read this book in half a day totally worth the read! It still has me thinking about it and I really want a series adaptation of it.

This was a super fun and quick read. I’ve never been a big mystery kinda gal because I feel like they can get boring quickly, but this was not the case! This book had me gripped from the beginning. The twists toward the end actually surprised me. I wasn’t expecting the ending. I highly recommend. Can’t wait to read the next book!

This wasn’t one of the books I’d usually pick up but I had a fun time reading it. It had a bit of a creepy edge getting to hear from the killer and also when they’d try to be in the mindset of the killer trying to figure out why they did what they did. It was really quick and engaging though.

I did sus out the killer though which, as always, shocks me. Guess I need to believe in my creeper instincts more. I didn’t know the motive though but once that was revealed it made a lot of sense.

The characterization was very strong, and this author knows how to write a story that draws the reader in. I don’t know that I loved the pacing, but overall it was a good read and I will probably read the rest of the series!
