Funny and smart. Including Daredevil was pretty clever since without him this book would be harder to take. The Axis main book was awful. But this side story of Tony Stark being a bigger version of Tony Stark captures something pretty good. It shows the range of what Tony could do if he only loosened up just a bit. The side bits to this story is what makes it good - it doesn't really focus on Tony but instead people's reactions to him. And San Francisco. I just hope they end this storyline before it starts to stink, like in the next book.

I enjoyed this book and seeing this darker side to Tony Stark. I also liked how his egotistical personality was portrayed. I think that he also seemed like a good father figure to teen abomination. I also loved how he constantly humiliated daredevil.

This really only deserves one star, but I'm giving it two just for the satisfaction I felt when the first thing Matt Murdock did with his temporary sight was track down Foggy Nelson so he could look at Foggy's face. It's astonishing how quickly this run undid decades of growth; I'm aware that the blame for that doesn't fall entirely at Taylor's feet, but editorial mandate aside, the whole series demonstrates a staggering lack of respect for the character.

The art was pretty, though!

Tony Stark suffers the effects from fighting Red Skull and now he's turned into a new Tony, like a bad Tony. He creates an app which can make people more beauty, Matt Murdock will try to stop him even though Tony offers him a cure for his blindness.

Also a guy named Teen abomination will play an important role in this comic.

Originally coming out in 2015 tied to the AXIS event. You don’t need to read AXIS to read this book Tony Stark has become more arrogant, selfish, about making money, and being vein than helping people. Making an app that makes everybody beautiful but it’s prohibitively expensive and makes San Francisco a police state. Making San Francisco a tech billionaire police state. If you told me, this came out in 2022. I would believe you because it fits in with the very modern view of the text billionaire. This also is early in Tom Taylor’s career before he became more well-known for books at DC. You can tell even early in his career, he knew the core of characters and how to write them very well. Tom Taylor is very good at writing a arrogant selfish Tony Stark, you don’t like but it’s fun to read. Most of this volume is tony stark versus Daredevil I enjoyed the back-and-forth. I don’t like the use of medical, amnesia plot to wrap it up, and the final issue being an origin story of teen abomination who is the recurring antagonist for this book. The art is solid, I love the chrome Symbiot Iron Man suit design and how look at me it is. So if you enjoyed superior Spider-Man, or like a more antagonistic main character you’ll enjoy this book

This book takes pretty much all of Tony Stark's negative qualities and turns them to max. He is brash, delves back into alcoholism, and acts a bit like a tyrant over the people of San Francisco. He's not all bad, but it makes it much harder to like the character because he isn't tempered as much by his good qualities.

Going into this book I felt a little lost. I didn't read any of the event that caused this change in Tony. Plus, it's hard to get a read on his motives. The art was decent. Nothing about it wowed me though.

I did enjoy seeing Iron Man skirt the line of evil. He does some questionable things for sure, but nothing that the character wouldn't ponder at least for a little while. And the execution of his ideas are kind of cool.

As a book about Iron Man, I was a little disappointed that they had to rope Daredevil into the story. His part certainly works within the context of the plot, and he acts as a conscience for Tony, but his appearance also felt unnecessary. The inclusion of Teen Abomination was a bit weak too. This had some potential toward the end of the book. Yet, he just seemed thrown in for some comic relief that didn't work for me.

I like these different takes on familiar characters, although this one doesn't push the line as far as some other books I've read. It's a decent read, but I don't expect to read any more in this series.
