A bit heavy handed but effective satire. The twist at the end was sort of cheap though, relying on some overused tropes.

A very well written but disturbing piece of work.
An interesting read that I don't think I will ever read again, nor would I recommend it to anyone.

I had to put this book down at times because I was too grossed out. I pretty much never do that but this book really pushed the extremes of what I wanted to read about. An absolutely fantastically horrible novel, even if some bits at the end were quite superfluous. That final image of the book was 10/10 though.

Welsh is an absolute genius. This is my third time reading Filth and each time I find myself fascinated by the psychology of the main character who Welsh has masterfully crafted. This novel may not be for everyone- it's rude, disgusting, hard to read at times, contains all the trigger warnings, but if you feel up to it I couldn't recommend it enough. An all time favourite.
