a witty and intriguing play - I wouldn't say the presentations are bad, but I would really enjoy how a retelling of the story now might handle the gay aspects of the play

okay you know what I've decided that posner's original ending and his ending in the movie convey the same thing just in a crueller way. it's consolation.

This is a play for those who want to think--not about a complicated plot or the motives of each character, but about each fact and academic reference made the scenes. Parts of the play are written in French, so be prepared to get a English-French dictionary handy. And you should, because it's bloody hilarious.

I feel like I learnt how to pass an exam from this play.
reading this at 20 is very different to watching the movie at 15, I think I finally understand a lot more of the subtext.
