The deck seemed so stacked against Pete and Maddie that it stretched credulity. And because everything worked against them it was almost painful to read at times. Still, I was hooked and had to know how everything played out.

Maybe I haven't read a good book in a while, but this one gives me faith in fiction again. I literally couldn't put it down. I loved the short chapters, the switching between characters, all of it. 10/10
