I liked everything about this except the ending. It really dives deep into what you as a person are told is right by your family and background (Latinx in this case) but when you are a grown person, you start to realize that you have to set boundaries to make sure you take care of yourself. Antonia realizes this post the death of her doctor husband & trying to maintain a relationship with her sisters.

This book wasn't really grabbing me at first, and I still didn't find it super exciting or interesting. The author seemed to be gesturing at big topics and important issues without really doing anything unique with them.

I am not sure how I feel about this - the writing was good but also annoying?? (wasn't the biggest fan of the lack of quotation marks but it also had really good sentences but I also didn't like all the literary quotes). 

I liked the little slice of life we got, grief, sisterhood, undocumented migrant workers, but I am not sure how I feel about the mental health rep...
