The entire time I was reading this book, I was waiting for it to get really awesome really fast but, as the hours dwindled down on the audiobook, I came to accept that it wasn't going to get very awesome at all, and it definitely wasn't going to get there quickly.

I got this because it was free with the Audible Romance package I got a free month of, so I was expecting some fun YA paranormal romance...and instead I got this. Maybe I just don't care for guys named Ash lately (see: my opinion on Ashtaroth from The Steel & Stone Series and The Spell Weaver Trilogy by Annette Marie) but Ash here was so dull. Robin/Puck was far more interesting and had way more chemistry with Meg, so I was a little disappointed when he was shoved off to the sidelines for most of the book.

It's entirely possible that I'll come back to the series one day, but there are many many many better options for me to spend my time on, even when it comes to the Audible Romance section so, until I a possible but not probable next time, I'm gonna call this one done.

Wow. The only reason I am giving this 2 stars is because I have read worse.
The writing is terrible, the characters are boring, and the story is over done.
I got about 3/4 of the way through it before giving up. I didn't even bother skimming the last couple chapters or looking up spoilers because I didn't care about any of the characters enough to know if they all live happily ever after.

I liked the way the fairies were portrayed and how they mixed with the modern world. Puck is almost the only characters that I actually cared about in the book and he wasn’t present much.
I didn’t like the insta-love, even more since I found there wasn’t much character devolvement for Ash. We didn’t know much about him? He was just there and in love with Meghan after talking to her three times. Meghan’s development was all over the place. One minute she took a step forward and the next, she was doing another stupid action that went against the development she just had. Also, the pacing of the story was not good, in my opinion and the story was to easy to resolve.
I think I would have like this book more if I had read it when it first came out and it’s maybe a good book for people who really loved fae’s stories, but I was disappointed and I won’t continue with the series.

Wowowow this book has really blown me away. I love the cross references of real life and the mythical life and the author truly knows how to write a book! I cannot wait to continue to read the rest of this series!

***3.5 STARS***

Usually the series that have books about fae thrown in them make the fae bore me. This book was interesting. It was typical fae realm with a twist. The end left enough open for me want to read more of the series to see what happens next. There were a couple parts that started to drag for me, but then picked right back up. Since I am usually not a reader of the fae books, but this one kept me interested enough to finish and want to read the next book Id say I enjoyed it. Not quite a 4 star for me, but close.
