I really enjoyed this book. It was funny and sexy. I loved that in the end, neither of them gave up their beloved career. I do wish we'd gotten some of Dex's POV though. And a little more heat would have been good too. ;) Overall though I loved the book!

This was an enjoyable instalment to the Ren Faire series! I was unsure about how Dex’s playboy persona would be adjusted to fit a leading man but it worked out!

I liked Dex’s gradual character development through Lulu’s eyes. It allowed me as the reader to also appreciate him through actions that she observed and build my own appreciation for him outside of what happened in the second book in the series. His character development made him an excellent romantic love interest.

Lulu was also such a great main character. Her breakdown at the beginning of the book was relatable and I loved how everyone around her supported her. Her gradual relaxation as she settled into life on the road and as she integrated herself into the Faire activities through tarot really showcased her turning a new leaf and coming into herself as someone who values her own identity.

Lulu and Dex were unexpected yet the perfect compliments and it made so much and so little sense at the same time. I liked how they worked with each other’s strengths and provided support where needed. I would have loved to see more of that drawn out emotional growth because it felt like there were a lot of time jumps where I wanted to dwell in their domesticity and understanding for each other.

Overall a great book!
