I was only going to give this 4 stars until I got to the illustration at the end. This book is brillant and despite the clear manipulation of the boy to his mother I think this is a perfect children’s book.

This got several reads before going back to the library, and I liked the illustration styles. We found it quite funny, though the humor of the ending was a little too subtle for the younger ones.
