4.5 brilliant stars.
I love Tillie Cole and I love this series. While this one didn't blow my mind the way Raze did, I still got all gooey on the inside. Read it in two hours and couldn't do it fast enough. Completely devoured it.

It has been a while since I read Raze and thought I would give this one ago. I seriously thought going in, it would just be an ok read an deserve 3 stars, but then all of a sudden I couldn't put it down. looking forward to the 3rd book due out in August. Enjoyed it more than book one as well.

This was slightly better than the first despite it being shorter. I did enjoy seeing the characters grow through the page but because of how short it was, it felt like I didn't have time to connect with the characters and really understand them

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Yet again blown away. I love these characters. They are not only unique but so freaking like able.

Talia is awesome and loyal. Not just to her family but to her heart. Even when she is trying to fight it you can see it. Faal lost so much and he didn't even know it. I love him these two come together. It was unstoppable. Yet again I am hooked. And I can't wait for the next one!!!

Unfulfilled promises keep Lula up at night. Raze is tortured by his inability to make things right. Two men rattling around inside his head and heart. The son they want him to be and the killer he was forced to be. Neither man is what he is, but a combination of the two. No one understands him and it's driving ing Lukas crazy.

Desperate measures are taken to make things right for 362, but at what cost?

Talia is appalled by her brother's behavior. She outraged that he has aided the enemy and brought him to their house. Fueled by anger and hatred, Talia begins to watch 221. As proof of that he's evil...
But what Talia expects isn't what she finds. She expects a wild feral animal, not a lost broken man who calls to her soul.

Ties bind and these ties are much more permanent.

While heartbreaking, this story is the same kind of emotional rollercoaster as Raze. It's a love story with darkness, but it's not a love lost. I enjoyed learning about 362. I really want to know what happens next, that end was a huge tease!

I liked this one more than the first, Zaal and Talia had so much connection and I liked the internal conflict Tal had.

On to the next!!

Tillie Cole is one my best book friend's favorite authors, so I've been meaning to read her for awhile and I finally started with her Reap! I don't think I could've picked a better first book and I can't wait to read the rest of them. Reap was such an amazing book and I completely loved it!

Talia is an awesome heroine! She doesn't always do what's expected of her and follow all of her father's orders - she's a little bit of a rebel. Talia might not be the perfect Bratva daughter but she is perfect for Zaal (221) and she was so right for this book. She resists Zaal at first but not enough to drive you crazy, she's strong and brave, compassionate and sweet, and loving and giving. I just absolutely loved everything about Talia!

And Zaal, oh my gosh, did I loooooove him! There's just something about guys that have been imprisoned like Zaal that make them practically impossible not to fall in love with and it's because of the way they look at things. Zaal might be a man, but he is still innocent and a little naive in ways that will break your heart and make you hurt for him, but he's also so sweet that he'll squeeze your heart and melt it. He appreciates the little things that most take for granted and he absolutely adores Talia and she means everything to him. Don't get me wrong, though, Zaal is still fierce and he does have his angry moments, but he never loses sight of the amazing man he becomes and he completely stole me heart!

Although I wanted to read Reap because my friend loves Ms. Cole, I also wanted to read it because certain aspects of the book reminded me of Laurann Dohner's New Species series and it's one of my favorites, so I was excited to see what Ms. Cole would do with her little world and I was not disappointed at all! It was really her own world and I was completely invested in seeing what would happen with Zaal and Talia. I just devoured this book and I could barely pull myself away. It made me laugh and smile and cry and good sigh. It was a heartbreaking, beautiful read full of sweetness, darkness, heat, and heart. It was utterly incredible and I can't wait to read the next book!

Reap is the second book in the Scarred Souls series and it can be read as a standalone, it's told from Luca, Zaal, and Talia's POV, and Zaal and Talia do get their happily-ever-after!
