Arthur Waley's translations of these Nô 能 plays are unequivocally terrible, bless him, he was born in the 19th century. Although his (very rough) translations read well, much of the original material has been removed—at Waley's own admission—because he didn't think it would be interesting to a Western audience. Excuse me, sir, I'll be the judge of that.
