this is the first good fiction i have found in a while. it's unexpectedly well crafted (if derivative) SHTF scifi.
there is an awful lot of the last ship, destroyermen, and the final countdown in here, but it feels authentic and new.
characters and dialog make sense. pieces of the plot are discovered at unexpected points.
a little short on action and long on discussion for a book of this genre, but what there is, is exciting and not the usual cringeworthy fare.
