I understand wanting your truth to be heard but this just felt so immature and bro-ish - he really gave the middle finger to his messed up family
The bits about his mummy did pull on my heartstrings though
But overall it felt like I was reading a gossip mag - and I just didn’t care to learn any of it.

This is the best memoir I have ever read. Harry delivers such a raw and honest account of his time in House of Windsor and the aftermath of choosing to leave the Royal Family. Many of his stories left me actually speechless. I am so glad that I chose to listen to this via audiobook as I feel that him personally narrating these stories added so much. This led me down quite the rabbit hole afterwards. Even if you have never had an interest in the royals I recommend this because I believe you will truly be shocked.

DNF @24% If you enjoy contradictions on the same page, painful irony, and constant whining, with a dash of "it's so hard to be privileged", this book is for you.

Where do I begin?

I started this memoir with such high hopes. As someone not invested in the royal family, I thought this would just be a fun read.

It wasn't.

While there are times where I definitely feel bad for Prince Harry - I mean, he's referred to as the spare, that's genuinely awful - more often than not, I'm just frustrated with him. He doesn't acknowledge the privilege he has as a royal. Additionally, there are several parts of the book where it feels as though he has a bit of White Savior Complex ™️ and like he has a bit of a problem with inspiration p*rn. He romanticizes Africa (specifically Botswana) to a point that made me feel uncomfortable. He also talks about his frostbitten

I didn't think I would enjoy this, but I really am enjoying it. I am about a 3rd into it, very well written and a great insight into his life as the Prince. It's a very truthful account of things from his perspective. I still have some way to go but I am hoping its as good as the first 3rd has been. It's not all about how 'bad the Royals are, or his broken relationship, yes that comes into it but its so much more too', it's his account of how his life has been in all things - very detailed and entertaining.
