I read this one after reading Bradley Denton's Naked, Stoned, and Stabbed which had introduced me to Morph Girl and her mom, the Amazing Bubbles, so I was prepared to read their origin story and this short did not disappoint. Author Spector handles some delicate issues with a lot of grace and still packs in a good story and a lived-in neighborhood filled with intriguing side characters. I really enjoyed this and found it a lot of fun to read.

I have to admit . . . ever since Fort Freak I've had a similar story going around my head. Of the Joker gangs messing with Rusty's kid and Rusty just wrecking them. I enjoyed this very much.
