This book was such a good palette cleanser after that last stupid book. But also it was great. I wished there was a bit more magic tasks haha. I loved having another one of Kingfishers practical heroines, I loved Maria, and the hedgehog of course.  I also wish the resolution had been a bit different maybe? but all in all very solid fun and spooky story
