My summary: As Keira Kilgore finds herself indebted to Lachlan Mount, all of her defiant vows to herself are at war with her feelings. Lachlan Mount is ruthless, but he’s also showing Keira glimpses of another side of himself. As she grapples with her feelings, Keira is also busy running her distillery with support from Mount in ways she would have never expected.
My thoughts: Short and spicy, the second book in the Mount trilogy picks up right where the first book ended and leaves you on a cliffhanger heading into the final book. It’s a quick and dirty read. I feel like there’s still a lot that’s secretive on Mount’s side about how exactly Keira came into his crosshairs originally, so I’m hoping the final book in the trilogy answers more about that.
