Gorgeous illustration and the use of color as a plot device is fantastic. Kept me guessing the whole time but I felt the ending was a little underwhelming.

I am too used to Epilogues, LOVED the artstyle but really wished to see the aftermath

Beautifully illustrated, the environments and use of colour were beautiful. It was very open to interpretation what was happening, so I didn’t feel any closure. Read this all in one sitting.

I didn't mean to read this graphic novel in one go, but I sure did. The art is gorgeous and the story was interesting enough for me to keep going, wanting to know what happens. It feels like a slow building horror - I was filled with dread and continously waiting for the other shoe to drop. I'm not super familiar with all of E.M. Carroll's work, but I DID read His Face All Red back in high school, and I remember being really impacted by its pacing and visuals. It's good to see that the author still has it and has improved upon her skills, even.

What a creepy graphic novel with a jarring twist. I haven't read a graphic novel in a while and this one didn't disappoint. The use of black and white vs. colour and the way the colour intruded on the black and white as what was real and not real blurred was perfect. I took away themes of loneliness and isolation and the way our fears and fantasies can quite literally colour reality, for better or worse.
