i enjoy echols' critical perspective on the ideas and developments so fundamental to radical feminist history that are so often forgotten and swept under the rug. because of the immense popularity that cultural feminism enjoys, the historical context behind the works of the radical feminists is omitted and this is a great book for dispelling the narratives that cultural feminists have constructed.

The tone of this book is one step above Betty friedan's "lavender menace" comments.
