This is a super cute and light hearted story about 2 international students who are roommates. Nada from Saudi Arabia and Satoko from Japan come together in America to attend university. They also learn about one another's culture in a really lovely way!

I  enjoyed this read. Very slice of life and informative. I already knew quite a bit about Islam since I have close family who are Muslim, but I learned new things in this book. I really love the budding friendship between are two main characters and the blend of cultures.

I LOVE how Nada is drawn but HATE how Satoko is drawn. The art style for Satoko is lackluster, dull, and it seems like the artist didn't put much thought into how she looked. It made it less appealing for me.

Cute art and slice-of-life hijinks. It is fun to see their friendships develop, sharing their cultures and hobbies, and trying new things together, be it food, fashion, or other outings. I also loved the more vulnerable, emotional moments, like their mutual homesickness, worries about finding a compatible roommate, and Nada deepening her faith once she moved abroad. It's just sweet, genuine fun, and I'm looking forward to the next one.

it was interesting and both girls felt relatable but Nada more as a Muslim, tho I'm not Arab I liked that it tried to differentiate religion and culture, as there are definitely a ton of things about Saudi that I don't like and don't have to do with Islam. anyways this was fun, will probably read the rest too.

Look, I didn’t like this but that doesn’t mean it’s not good. It’s super cute, I’m just not the right audience, it reads very young (and I wasn’t expecting that).

This is a light, slice-of-life manga (4koma) of a Saudi girl and a Japanese girl rooming together at an American university.

They’re short, simplified lessons on different cultures and stereotypes; it could be a great introduction to culture and religion especially for kids.
