I enjoyed the premise of this novella. I liked the characters and thought it flowed well (mostly). It gets three stars because of two things: mentions of and alluding to sex in a couple of spots and I wasn't completely fond of the ending. All in all a likable story just not one I absolutely loved.

I'm rather conflicted about this book. Technically, it was an entertaining and relevant read, but I really felt like all three of the main characters in the book needed to do a little bit more maturing. They never sat down and talked about the problems, doubts, and fears that they were having with really anyone, let alone each other! Instead, they react first, then spend time having to pick up the pieces based on those choices. I also found that for a Christian romance, it didn't come across with a heavy theme of religion, to the point of it being almost non-existent. This could be a case of being rushed to finish a book and using a storyline that was half formed, but for my first introduction to this author, I was a bit disappointed.

My thoughts: 13% - Lol. I should have seen this coming.

This was a fun and interesting read. It was 5 stars because it was lacking some girl power. Alyssa doesn't make decisions throughout this book. She goes along and allows life to happen to her, and for that reason alone, 4 stars for no backbone.

Recommend to others?: Yes. This book was good overall.
