Honestly - wish I would have continued this series as a child. I would have LOVED it.  But as an adult, it's falling short.  KIDS WILL LOVE THIS - don't let my review sway that.

3 and a half
I like this series for kids. I'm sure if I were reading it at 12 it would be a 4 or more star book. I like that this series is easily appealing to boys or girls.

Another exciting, fast-paced installment in the Shadow Children series. I liked having the series return to Luke's point of view. There were a couple of plot issues that left me a tad bewildered, but overall it was well done again. These books are such quick reads that I plan on just barreling through the rest of the series.

Among the Barons brings even more changes to Luke's life as Lee grant. What will happen now that he is so deep into this lie of a life. Will he slip up and be discovered by the wrong people. Who can he really trust?
