fast-paced
  • Plot- or character-driven? A mix
  • Strong character development? Yes
  • Loveable characters? Yes
  • Diverse cast of characters? It's complicated

I have nothing to complain about in this book, but I don't really have anything to praise either. The godly parent is almost par-for-the-course for Rick now
Spoiler Athena
and the dynamic feels taken right out of the pages of The Lightning Thief. I didn't hate it, and it was a good return to style for Rick, but it almost felt boring, even with the setting of New Orleans.

such a unique way to tell a story... I liked it how we got to choose our own adventure. I would lie to go back and read the other choices eventually.. strong mini story.

Really fun to read! Choose your own adventure books are always cool and this one being in the Demigod verse was extra special.

Demigods of Olympus: An Interactive Adventure , apparently a standalone, I read it cause, it was a book by Rick Riordan, and well I love Rick Riordan's books, except THIS ONE!

The plot was terrible, something happened, and then later, something else happened, I could barley understand what was happening half the time. Plus there was a lot of stuff that got repeated especially, when I had to choose what happens next, it was just super confusing, and I was disappointed, in it.

The Writing, WAS TERRIBLE, I DIDN'T LIKE IT AT ALL, I MEAN, I DIDN'T REALLY UNDERSTAND WHAT WAS HAPPENING MOST OF THE TIME!

The Characters

Zane
Well, technically I was Zane, so I guess he was okay, cause I was him, (THIS IS SUPER CONFUSING)

Sam
Sam was cool, I guess (I don't really have any thoughts on him)

Other
There weren't really anymore characters except, like a few gods, and a person here and there, BUT SERIOUSLY WHO MAKES A BOOK WITH LIKE 2 CHARACTERS, WHILE THE OTHER JUST APPEAR IN 2 PAGES OR SOMETHING!

This Part does have spoilers... BEWARE!

Why'd I rate this 2 stars, technically, 1.5 stars?
Because, I didn't like it at all, it was kinda boring, and SUPER HARD to understand, plus, Zane's godly parent is ATHENA, SERIOUSLY!

Overall, I pretty much hated it, and did not enjoy it one bit

i'm a bit confused by this idea of so many demigods just randomly living in cities and not going to camp. zane himself didn't necessarily show any particular traits that made him stand out from the other demigods we know, but he was okay; i really liked sam, though. he was sweet!
