I really enjoyed the other two books that I read in this series, but I just can’t finish this. The FMC is horrid. Meddling, annoying and downright rude. Tries to break up her grandfather’s nurse’s relationship, partly for selfish reasons and partly because *she* thinks the relationship is wrong for *her employee*. Not even a friend. She is disrespectful of a little old lady who is a guest in her home because she is shy and can’t remember her lines for some murder mystery dinner party. Just awful.

Also there is zero chemistry between her and the MMC. He is sweet and likeable but he cannot save this awful story.

I know this is a rewrite of Jane Austen… can’t decide if I’ll even try the original, based on this retelling.

I didn't find this book as good as the first one. As the name suggests, this is a modern day rewrite of Emma. I found the storyline to be less believable than the P&P one by the same author. There were also some continuity errors in it which bothered me as they felt sloppy. Aside from that, it was a fun read.

This reimagining on Austen's classic lacked the original's charm and mastery of writing, but it was entertaining enough and inoffensive enough to pass the time.

Super cute retelling of an Austen favorite. I thought their jobs was interesting for the characters: Harriet was a caregiver and George was a PA and Emma a personal shopper. I loved the ending with Betty Bates. After Elton said he wanted to date Emma, all those secondary characters were gone. What about Jane, Churchill and Elton - not quite a perfect retelling but still a fun, easy read.

This was cute!! Clean modern adaptation of Emma. I could totally see the story as a cute Hallmark movie :)
