I’m more just confused by the intent of rewriting America’s backstory this way. I’m not a Latina, I don’t know if the change was perhaps made to make it easier for Latiné people to feel more secure in relating to her because she was previously an alien that just found a home amongst a Puerto Rican community and now she is actually the child of 2 Latina women. However, this is a sort 5 part series solely meant to rewrite her backstory. What do they have planned for this character?

I have to admit that I didn't mind the cliffhanger in this book because I knew that I had the final one waiting. I did like this series.
