This book made me be over Maisie Dobbs, and I won't be continuing on with the series. There are three reasons for this: 1) how the bisexual character was handled 2) the fact it is literally impossible to figure out the mystery because details are withheld from the reader that the main character knows 3) I came to dislike Maisie over the course of the book, which is interesting given that previously I appreciated that she was well-rounded and not perfect, In this one she just came across as snooty, mean, and childish.
