I was intrigued from the beginning, always a fun scene when Adelaide met her employer covered in soot. I loved the whole book and finished it in 1 day. I gave it a 4 star because it should be longer as the story felt rushed. I loved seeing Robert's feelings change and loved the scene of their first kiss.

I can't wait to read the other stories in the series and hope we see snippets of Addy and Robert together.

This was a sweet, quick read. I liked the book in general but the romance felt forced. In my opinion the Robert only seemed to care about Adelaide's physical beauty. That's a great start and an important part of a relationship but it seemed to lack substance. Otherwise the book was pretty good.

Obvious plot, little interesting dialog

I did not like this Regency romance. No story. Just the usual man dislikes lady, lady dislikes man, until at the end they fall in love. No characterization, won't read her again.
