Second book of the series and it start off strong. Dane annoys me so much his character is frustrating as hell. Mila can be frustrating as well and obnoxious.
There is always danger awaiting these to with the mafia in tow watching everyone's moves.

Mia does not want her old lifestyle but the past alwsys has a way of catching up with you right. Can Dane be understand about her past?

You got to read to find out. So what are you waiting for grab a copy today.

Malia and Dane’s romance is the longest yo-yo dating I have ever read. From being with each other since kids and then on again and off again for 11 years.

I am pretty new to mafia romance but this really convinced me I need to read more. I love the passion behind the mafia structure and ties of family.

I really hope they write a Gia and Nico book.

The depth of this book is thought-provoking from almost every point of view. The characters are so much more than what meets the page. My heart instantly breaks for Dane but the truth is that once he turned to that darker character, the more I got scared for Mila and who they could be. Their ride throws you down a deeper rabbit hole and I hope you’re ready for it. This book is full of action, intensity and a romance out of this world!

Is it really possible to go back to the one you left behind? Can he really accept you back into His loving arms? This book is just about that. Mafia Princess Milana left to get away from the insanity of the Sindicato life and pursue her dreams. But that means she has to leave the man that owns her heart behind. Fast forward to years later and she now knows Dane is what she wants. But did she burn that bridge to the ground? I enjoyed this book even though I wanted to hit both of the main characters. But this book was good and I am looking forward to the next in the series

Sons of Sindicato: Brink of Denial by Sonya Jesus and Cam Johns, features Dane Giordano and Milana Lombradi’s conflict-filled lives. Eleven years ago, Milana decided to leave Dane and head to California. She became a model and changed her name to Mila Leblanc. Every few years she would visit New Jersey and hook up with Dane, only to leave again. As time wore on, Dane tries to convince himself that he hated Mila, and tries to move on but fails to find a woman that could feel the emptiness that Mila left behind.

Present day Mila isn’t doing as well as she had once dreamed and finds herself in a situation that requires her to seek the assistance of her past. Tyler Pence, a former lover of Mila’s, has been blackmailing her for over 8 years with a sex tape that would destroy her career. When she agrees to meet him in New Jersey, she calls Dane for help. While Dane does assist her to a degree, Tyler is left alive and proves to be more than just a pain to Mila. He shows proof that he can expose the Sindicato and bring the entire Mafia down. Mila knows she needs to return to her Lombardi roots and join forces with Dane in order to stop Tyler.

This is a 5-star book and I would recommend reading the prequel Sons of Sindicato Novella in order to understand the intertwining plot. This is a fast-paced book with deception, passion, and family dysfunction that is sure to become a favorite of any suspense reader.

Oh My Goodness!! I think I'm obsessed!
Brink of Denial: A Dark Mafia Romance by Sonya Jesus & Cam Johns is a must read!

Mila had a vision and she would not be swayed, even if it meant walking away from family and love. So she did just that… she walked away. Now, after 11 years, she finds herself wanting what she walked away from.

Dane had his own vision, and it was all about family (well, all about Mila) & becoming the next boss for the Sons of Sindicato. But Mila ripped most of that away when she left him, heartbroken and angry. 11 years later, his hate for Mila grows.

With Mila back in town, things get intense, secrets come out and danger is lurking.
Will they be able to get past the heartache and start fresh? Or will it be too much for them to bear?

This is a must read! To be a part of this family and their story… what an amazing job of pulling you in and captivating you to stay. Sonya & Cam do an amazing job at bringing the characters to life and makes you want to get to know them better. I can't wait to see what happens next!

Holy hotness! Dane is raging heat and Mila just cannot give it up no matter how hard she wants too. As children of the Sindicato, they grew up together. Mila wanted to get out and left for a chance at a modeling career…the night before Dane wanted to propose. Heartbreak city! Fast forward to 11 years later…drama, lingering love, family secrets and you have an explosive love story that keeps you on the edge of your seat. Once I started this one, I just couldn’t put it down. The action sucks you in and you just can’t get out. The plot keeps you engaged. The characters are so well-written you can feel the moods and the emotions. I love this series.

I absolutely LOVE the characters in this book. I can imagine that this is how the mafia would be run, the legal clean side to the dirty money and blood on their hands. Mila is a mafia daughter who even though she loves a son of Sindicato, she wants something different for her life. She finds that walking away from the life she doesn’t think she wants, years later leads her back to that exact life to help protect her. This book was filled with strong women that don’t just want to sit on the sidelines or take a back seat. I was rooting for Mila from the first page. Dane can be stubborn, but will he let her get away a second time. With surprises and secrets at every turn, this was a great exciting read.

This book is for those 18 or over due to the adult nature of the content within.

Dane Girodano is the son of the Giordano’s, one of the Sons of the Sindicato and he is also next in line for the seat at the head of the families, but the one thing he doesn’t have is Mila Blanc, a model living in California with the face and body every man wants and every woman wants to be and that is because 11 years ago, she left him brokenhearted for a life away from the Sindicato and everything that went with it. Now Mila Blanc is disillusioned with the life of a model and is just waiting for her contract to end so that she can get her payout and follow her new dreams, however, there is one complication they are an addiction and a vice that neither of them can kick and this could get them into a lot of trouble.

As Mila is trying to keep her head above water and tie up loose ends around her, she gets home after a stressful day and finds a friend there waiting for her with a hot meal cooked and pretty much on the table, however, when this friend finds her phone and sees that she has been paying a man a lot of money, he goes off the rails and goes to set the record straight. This does not go quite to plan and ends up escalating the tension between Mila and her blackmailer instead of calming it down and when reality hits that he can ruin her career easily so near to its conclusion, she decides to call an old friend to help her sort things out. Meanwhile, Dane is trying to sort out his own messes as they suspect that there is a leak somewhere in their operation and they have an idea who they can pump for information about it, however, the individual is not as forthcoming as they had hoped when fear and physical stimulus aren’t working, so they decide to change tact and play the waiting game in a bid to eek it out in another way.

As Dane tries to ignore Mila’s calls thinking that all she wants is more no strings sex and he is not in the mood for that in the slightest, he eventually gives in and answers the phone, however, when she asks for his help he reluctantly says yes and meets her at the time and place she requests of him. When he arrives, Mila fills him in on the details of what has been going on and why he is there, she has a plan and so they go to confront the man in question, but despite the beatdown and threats he receives, he is not letting go that easily and threatens Mila in a new way while simultaneously involving Dane, the Police and the rest of the Sindicato families. As this little meeting is going ahead, other wheels are turning in other areas of the Sindicato businesses which dredge up yet more questions than answers.

This is where Mila starts to miss her old life and the ways in which things were more simple and because of this, she decides that she wants back in with Dane and a second chance at something she thinks they both want, but will Sindicato business get in the way, or will Mila be able to take back control of her life and everything in it? Will Dane be able to forgive and forget, or will the past be too much of a raw and open wound to ever be able to heal? This is a rollercoaster of ups and downs with secrets, revelations, truth and lies throughout and you will become as absorbed in the Sindicato life as they are.
