None of the narrators are particularly likable, and the Colonel and the lady only start to redeem themselves halfway in.

Not a terrible premise, but too much vacillating on the part of the characters for no reason. Switching between characters' POVs was interesting, but sometimes seemed unnecessary. In general, it seemed like the book could have been much tauter. Also, a little deus ex machina at the very end, as though the author got stuck and didn't know what to do.
