Very much like Daisy Jones and The Six, (oral history of a fictional rock band from the 1970s) with also some elements of The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo (reporter narrator with dead dad that has connections to eccentric old celebrity). I highly recommend the audio, which has a full cast.
