Really loved the artwork in this story! It's a storybook that does stay with you for a little bit, not because it's profound or special or anything, but it's just a warm blanket really.

Despite a missed opportunity for a discussion about climate change for young readers, Pip & Egg is an important book for the Early Years/Y1 age. Its depiction of friendship teaches children that to grow and change as an individual does not mark the end of a friendship and that sometimes letting go of those you love, so that they can mature and find themselves, makes for a stronger friendship in the end.
