Amazing. Interesting and different take on zombies. Totally unexpected turns. But probably my favorite thing about this book was the realism of the fighting and the presence of a learning curve. The main character doesn't wake up to a zombie apocalypse and suddenly become a king fu master that knows how to hot wire jetpacks and saves damsels in distress on his lunch break. No, he messes up. He gets hurt. He gets scared. He cries. He makes mistakes and gets headaches and nausea and dirt under his fingernails. He learns and changes and adapts. And it's believable and real and raw. I loved it.
