Some interesting stories, some I found not so interesting.
Good for anyone interested in history.

I love medical history, and there were parts of this like the JFK chapter, which were fascinating. Others slightly less so, which felt a slog. I don’t think the author always succeeded in pitching it at newbie level - sometimes it got too far, and other times it felt like drowning in jargon. But overall, interesting and enjoyable.

Very interesting work with evidence of huge historical investigation. Occasional misanthropic statement detracts from this, and the effete tone of the narrator amplifies this. Probably would have been better to have read the physical book than the audiobook

I love this kind of book. Non fiction but interesting and information presented within lots of stories. Having had multiple surgeries myself I’m fascinated by how we go to this point and am constantly blown away in this book with how recent everything is.
