After years and years, finally decided to bite the bullet and read this. I also never seen any of the movies so I really didn’t know what I was getting myself into. I was over how the email and texting were. It was driving me crazy. “ to Anastasia Steele from: Christian grey. Subject: (insert) time: (insert) date: (insert)” and maybe because I listened to it on audio so it was super monotonous. Also, if I never have to hear the words inner goddess again, I’ll be ok. I did like the story line, it was cute. I like how she brought out a side to him and vice versa. The spice was definitely there. It was fun and exciting if that is your sort of thing. I don’t think I’ll be indulging on the other books of the series, unless it is read and not on audio.

I never thought I'd love this book so much!!

I ordered Fifty Shades because I was curious. When I got it, I read some pages without any specifically order to have an idea about what I was going to read. I understand now it wasn't the best thing to do because it gave me the wrong idea about the book. I have to admit that some of the pages I read at the time made me disgusted and I wasn't so sure I wanted to read it anymore.

Well, I read the book anyway, of course, and I was impressed. It had nothing to do with what I was thinking.

Many people think this is a book about sex. Well, guess what, it's not. Yes, it has lots of sex and that's one of the main issues in the book, but there's more. This book has a story - a beautiful one, by the way -, and it made a huge difference. Those pages that made me feel disgusted when I read them for the first time didn't make me feel that way anymore because of the story behind it.

There's such a lovely story between Anastasia and Christian. Their 'relationship' was very unlikely. It's just so sweet that she made him want more for the first time in his life. I had this grin on my face almost the whole time I was reading it. I couldn't help it.

I also liked very much the way the book it's written - in the 1st person. The dialogues in Anastasia's head are very interesting and help us understand the way she feels.

The end of the book made me really sad for both of them and I'm looking forward to read the next one to see what will happen.

Writing isn't so good, but it's an easy read and hard to put down

This book is written like a young adult novel, with some graphic sex scenes. The main character seems very immature, and has created an alter-ego, her "inner goddess", that is just so naughty. Maybe the next book will get better.

Twilight fan fiction, subpar smut - terrible idea and explanation of the bdsm community. Don’t read.

DNF @ 22%: I’ve decided I won’t be doing this! How was this published? The writing is elementary and cringey. Shout-out for getting millions to read Edward Cullen fanfic tho!
