This series continues to be one that I immensely enjoy. I love the characters, I am always swept up by the mystery, and I am looking forward to seeing how things play out after the big event in this book.

Trigger warnings: death, violence, kidnapping, conspiracy

I am simultaneously really happy and really sad that I've officially caught up with this series. I started it in January so it feels weird to not have another book to pick up immediately after this one. But I have to say this is one of my favorites so far! Finally, our protagonist and the antagonist meet and are confronted with each other. It was not the battle I expected, but so much better than I could've imagined. I love the core group of characters SO MUCH at this point that I would be down to read a million of these books. I am really happy that some of the more minor side characters have also reappeared and had a greater part to play in this book. I am astounded by the ending and cannot comprehend how the next book will continue to develop the story.

Probably my least favorite of the series. It was very confusing, gruesome, and not as fun to read. I also didn’t feel like there was a solid resolution to any of the story lines.
