A very fun little read! Definitely over the top, so if you're looking for realism, this probably isn't the book for you. But if you want a fun little escapist adventure, look no further.

My only gripe is that the writing could feel a little stilted at times. This could especially be felt at big emotional moments where the writer is trying to convey something, but ended up falling a little short. However, it wasn't anything atrocious, just a small complaint.

This is an ARC review (and I’m always honest) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️5/5

•Viciously Yours is a twisted romantasy meets rom/com! This was such a fun and fast paced read I had a very hard time putting it down.
•The world building is not vast or complex however this is done on purpose because the stories main focus is the relationship between the lead characters. It is a short novel so it would make a good palette cleanser.
•One minute I was kicking my feet and giggling, and the next minute I was fanning myself 🥵 (and scared for any man who even LOOKED at Amelia)
•The MMC is a royal fae who makes a lot of morally “grey” decisions but yet he is a cinnamon roll at heart. I never thought that would be possible but Rennick makes it work 😂
•The FMC is an orphaned girl who in a time of loneliness finds herself holding on to the hope that one day her secret admirer will one day come for her.
•I am actually obsessed with this book and CAN NOT wait to see what comes next in this series.
•Favorite quotes:
✨ “I am where I have always been, love: at your feet, waiting for you to claim me as your own.”
✨ “P.S. I don’t want to hurt you. Please use the gifts inside the box to prepare for me, but slather them with the oil first. You’re going to need it.”
•Tropes: fated mates, virgin MMC, touch her and d!e
•TW: death and k!lling, graphic violence, talks of abandonment, sexual scenes (not meant for anyone under 18)

At the beginning of this book you get a warning that there’s a 50/50 chance you’ll like it. I cackled reading that and knew I was going to have a good time.

I throughly enjoyed this book. It was a quick read, the plot was thin but that’s also in the warning at the beginning. Sometimes all you need is a quick spicy book to get you through the day and that was this book.

I am excited for the next books this series. I can’t wait to explore this world.

——— SPOILERS BELOW ———

This book is slit into two parts, one when they’re younger and haven’t met and two where they’re together. Part one is called “The Letters” and I legit thought it was going to be sixty-odd pages of just the letters they wrote to each other. It wasn’t but somehow I was shocked that it wasn’t.

Part one was a great set up for the book. I loved seeing them grow and mature. It’s rare in spicy books to see the main characters when they’re young so it was nice to see how they grew into their own.

Part two starts off with a bang with Rennick and Amelia meeting and I felt the embarrassment of that meeting the moment I realize what was about to happen. I was nervous laughing for a few pages when Amelia realized who Rennick was.

I don’t expect to get emotional in spicy books but when Amelia and Rennick had their big fight I felt my emotions welling up. Amelia’s big emotions were so much that I felt them. I loved the honestly they had in that moment.

I need to say nothing more than Ora was the worst and deserved what she got.
