SiGH! Poor Lady Gemma Eversleigh! She's tired of having fun. Her friends have settled down with loving husbands and she wants one too. Looking around at the possibilities she has found a Duke who will be just right - a Captain Duke that is - an American even. There's only one problem, Alexander Duke seems to be able to resist her charms.
It seems like she's going to chase him until he catches her except when he finally does propose, she gets angry. He has ruined her, although no one but the 2 of them know it and she won't marry just so he can ease his conscience.
Eva Devon writes a truly delightful story of chase and be chased. Is it love or just lust? will they marry or not? In the background the members of the Duke's Club (including Gemma's twin brothers have fun at Alexander's expense threatening to kill him when he asks for Gemma's hand but only leaving him a little beaten.
This was a quick fun read and a worthy addition to the series.
