Charming fantasy tale suitable for both younger readers and those young at heart. Sisters Bryony and Bethany and their new tutor are thrown into the adventure of a lifetime when they follow a mysterious green rabbit through the woods and into the distant past. There they find a village full of new friends who are under the thumb of a ruthless Lord of the Manor. Our plucky heroines join in the fight against evil in a story line that celebrates bravery, friendship, and standing up for what is right. I enjoyed this lovely story which reminded me a bit of The Secret Garden in its lyrical tone and magical elements. Recommend for readers who like a quietly thrilling tale where they can be confident that good will ultimately triumph over evil.
